Duluth, Minn. –Motorists on Highway 194/Mesaba Avenue will encounter changes to the current traffic set up beginning Monday, July 9 in Duluth.
- On Central Entrance the eastbound free right to Mesaba will be closed.
- On Mesaba Avenue the southbound right lane will be closed from Central Entrance to 3rd
- Access to the west from Mesaba will only be allowed at West 7th and West 3rd.
- West 4th will be closed.
- Northbound lanes will be open.
Crews will also begin removal of the Superior Street Bridge over the southbound I-35 on-ramp from Mesaba Avenue. The bridge work will close eastbound Superior Street from Glen Place Drive to the East resulting in no direct access to northbound Mesaba Avenue from Superior Street.
A detour will be in place from Superior Street to Garfield Ave., to Railroad St., to 5th Ave. West. This will remain in place until mid-September.
